SIM RACING X REAL LIFE RACING
My plan for the future is based within two targets, Sim racing content creation and real life racing. Breaking down those plans, firstly with the sim racing content. The majority of the sim racing content will be tutorial based videos, hopefully to make insightful videos on the skill sets and lessons I've learnt from my years sim racing so far. Back in 2016 I came across a youtube channel that changed my life and gave me the skillsets that later helped me become world champion, Called Driver 61 and ran by Scott Mansell. Scott shared his knowledge with the world and made the best tutorial videos teaching people every aspect of motorsport. All the details from how to trail brake to adapting to changing weather conditions. Even making track guides to assist people with their knowledge, His videos gave me the chance to learn. I would love to pass on the lessons I've learnt during my career, to hopefully assist people on their goals and dreams in life. If I can help even 1 person I will be very happy. Alongside the tutorial based content I enjoy making general sim racing content. Such as experiencing a new car or track for the first time. I would also love to find a competitive environment in sim racing again, where I can enjoy and share my thoughts plus feeling completely openly, such as streaming my practice sessions. Overall, hopefully to share the parts of competitive racing that are often not seen as they contain sensitive information such as telemetry. I want to throw away the rule book and share with people with full transparency my driving inputs, areas I focus on in preparation for and even to the details of how I debrief a race to improve for the next one.
On the flip side of sim racing, I desire to have more seat time in real life racing, I love racing the F1600. My dream is to win the Walter Hayes Trophy and also the Formula Ford festival. I need to learn a lot and work very hard to make those dreams into reality though, so that's what I will do. Much like the sim racing though, I won't hide any information. Sharing my journey through learning motorsports and racing cars from the inside out, Currently Im working at Silverstone circuit and I am taking every opportunity to learn anything and everything about the sport. Even to the details of watching what patches of tarmac dry quicker than other areas of the same corner, then understanding why that is. Finally, how I can use that information to my advantage when I'm on track myself, or even helping to strap people into the car. I also learn how the belt functions. That information will come in handy down the line. My end goal plan with motorsports is to be in a position where I can help the mechanic prep my car. Or even help to fix the car in the unfortunate circumstance of an incident, long story short. To maximize my chances of success in real life motorsports I need to know how the car works from the inside out, every bolt and every function I desire to learn about. I would also like to create content around these subjects, even if it's learning how to bleed my brakes correctly or rebuilding a suspension corner of the car. I'd love to share the whole process from the late night garage workshop sessions to hopefully stepping on top of the podium. That's my dream, and what fuels me every day.
In summary, making sim racing content that is focused towards tutorial style videos that can hopefully share my knowledge, general sim racing content from trying new cars and tracks to also competitive sim racing. Then on the flip side learning every aspect of real life motorsports, getting my hands dirty and hopefully to earn the privilege to line up on the starting grip.
